About Rachel Graham

Rachel’s love for theatre began at age 6, when she joined an amateur group. She stayed in amateur dramatics for 12 years, performing in shows such as High School Musical, FAME and Bad Girls. Over that time she studied for A Levels in Theatre Studies, Performance Studies and Psychology, hoping to pursue a career as a drama teacher.

A chance to volunteer as stage crew led to a complete career change, ultimately leading to undertaking a BTEC diploma in Theatre Technology and Stage Management at Liverpool Community College, working on shows such as Laramie Project (Lighting Designer and Operator) and The Broken Heart (DSM).

She went to Rose Bruford College, where she graduated with a 1st Class BA (Hons) degree in Stage Management. Her three years gave her the opportunity to work on amazing in-house shows, shows at Stratford Circus, events at Bargehouse on South Bank as well as with companies such as Royal Academy of Music and Clean Break Theatre Company.

Since graduating she has worked on a number of small scale shows as ASM and SM on the book.  She works on straight plays and musicals, continuing a very varied career.

Her main interest is musicals, and she thrives in a Deputy Stage Manager role. Recently she has developed a passion for working on new shows as they allow some creative input. In the future, she wishes to explore Company Management and eventually wishes to lecture future stage managers.

Outside of work, she has trained in ballroom, latin, modern, tap and stage combat. Recently she has started bouldering and yoga. She enjoys reading, watching movies, art and nature.
